The Foresters Arms will be opening for drinks only at 3pm on Saturday. In preparation for this Dave and his team have been very busy making sure that you will feel safe, comfortable and happy. No prices have been increased.
Safety procedures and processes
Below is a list of all the things that have been done:-
The whole pub, kitchen and equipment has been refurbished and cleaned. Dave has even been busy redecorating during lockdown to make it a much more cosy atmosphere
Dave has conducted a 19 page risk assessment of the pub, kitchen and garden
Over 10 tables have been removed to ensure they meet the 1m+/2m distancing requirements.
Nine customer hand sanitiser stations have been installed throughout the pub and garden
A new wifi system has been installed which covers the pub and garden
A new card reader is in use that runs off the wifi so can be brought to each table
Food
Dave will start serving food from Thursday 9 July and, initially, it is will be a reduced menu.
He is also considering how he could continue with takeaways so that those people who are reluctant to venture out can still have a break from cooking one a week!
Opening Hours
The opening hours will probably change but initially they will be as follow:-
Thursdays and Fridays - 12pm - 3pm and 6pm - 10pm
Saturdays - 12pm - 10pm
Sundays - 12pm - 7pm
New pub rules
Naturally, this is going to be a very different experience than before Covid-19. There have to be rules in place to keep everyone safe.
All tables inside the pub must be prior booked.
Tables in the garden will be on a first come first served basis.
Entrance to the pub and garden is only via the main front door. Customers must wait (distanced from each other) to be taken through to their table in the pub or garden.
Customers will be expected to use the hand sanitiser on entry to the pub and garden
All menus will be disposable.
All condiments and sauces will be brought to the table with your food orders and will be disposable.
There will be a one-way system from the garden to the loos inside and from the pub to the loos inside. This will be clearly marked. Exit is via the Snug bar only.
There will be table service only. No-one is to approach the bar.
Access details for the new wifi system will be available on the tables.
A new ordering app (orderBee) must be used in the garden to place orders for drinks (or food when available). Instructions on how to download this will be available on the tables.
Payment will be via the OrderBee app or within the pub via contactless cards only. No cash accepted.
Staff and Service
During lockdown a number of Dave's regular staff decided to move on so service may be a little slower initially. Please allow for this on your visit. Other safety precautions are:-
All staff will be temperature checked on arrival for their shift
All staff will wear face shields
All staff - waiting and kitchen - have their own hand sanitising units and hand washing facilities.
All tables will be cleaned and disinfected between customers
Extra bins have been added to the garden area
