As part of Fairwarp’s thanks for her devotion to service wouldn’t it be great to capture what the Queen means to our community?
Do you have a treasured piece of memorabilia we could photograph – commemorative china, newspaper clippings, a biscuit tin or even a doll?
Could you share your memories of a local event to celebrate one of the milestones of the Queens reign? Watching the coronation on a tv set for the first time, or a Fairwarp street party?
Is the Queen a patron of a charitable cause dear to your heart? Have you ever attended an event where the Queen was present? Maybe you share a birthday, a love for corgi’s or became a parent on the same day.
As part of Fairwarp’s Jubilee Celebrations we hope to have a photographic display, and a short video recording, of both memorabilia and your memories spanning the seven decades.
Please do pop along to the Fairwarp Village Markets on either Saturday 12 February, 12 March or 9 April with your memorabilia to be photographed, and your memories to share.
If you are not able to make any of those dates but would like to contribute, please email polly.kettley@follyandglee.co.uk.
