To all at the Fairwarp Community Society Good Neighbours Scheme
On the 4th July this year, the whole country is being invited to join in saying “Thank you”. It is the day before the NHS’s birthday and a great moment to come together with our neighbours, communities and families in thanks.
I really want to say thank-you to the people of Wealden. To everyone that has supported neighbours, friends, family and colleagues throughout the Covid crisis.
The last year has tested us all. It has always been our priority to keep the people of Wealden safe, to support our most vulnerable and to ensure that we continue to deliver the essential services that you need. As a Council, we simply could not have achieved this without the help and support of our residents, communities and colleagues. It is important that they know how much these efforts have been recognised and appreciated. From the very beginning, our collective response to the coronavirus pandemic is something we as a district can be very proud of and is something that we are truly grateful for.
The first “Thank You Day” gives us the opportunity to pause and say a very big thank-you. Please find attached a thank you card to thank you personally for your contribution in helping the people of Wealden and to commemorate the first national ‘Thank you day.
We have also created a series of commemorative posters that are available here to download and print so that the community can see and know how thankful we are. We have been truly inspired by the personal commitment to making a difference in these unprecedented and challenging times.
With very best wishes
